Explore current exhibitions with a guided tour from ACCA’s qualified Education staff. Key themes are explained and tours are tailored to suit all year groups and subjects including VCE Arts industry contexts, VCE Philosophy- Aesthetics, Primary and Middle Years Introduction to Contemporary Art.

THINK

Use contemporary art as the stimulus for philosophical dialogue. After a tour, search for meaning in our Philosophy of Art for Children workshop. Collaborative inquiry is used to investigate the concepts, symbolism and themes students have wondered about in the exhibition. Experience contemporary art as a mode of thinking, and ACCA as an ideas laboratory.
For secondary students, the What Is Art? workshop opens up the exciting and limitless possibilities of what art is and can be, challenging preconceived notions and encouraging students to rethink the subject of art.

Give your students the chance to use contemporary art materials and experience art-making workshops based on the exhibition. This fun and inspiring hands on workshop fosters deeper engagement with exhibition content through haptic learning approaches.
