| The support of philanthropic trusts and foundations assists ACCA to realise specific projects which help us reach our artistic goals. Past grants have supported a vast range of projects including production of catalogues, new equipment, commissioning works by Australian artists, education programs which provide free bus transport to ACCA for schools groups and better information about exhibition content.
The Helen Macpherson Smith Commission has established itself as the most generous Commission in Australia and has become a major stepping stone in the careers of outstanding artists in Victoria. The partnership enables the annual commission of a major new work accompanied by an exhibition in ACCA’s prestigious Exhibitions Hall. The work (or part of) is then gifted to a regional Victorian gallery in perpetuity.
