MULTICULTURAL ARTS PROGRAM (MAP)

MAP is a contemporary arts access program for newly arrived young people to Australia, including refugees and immigrants from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Participants attend a series of workshops and familiarization sessions over several weeks, culminating in an open day to share their experiences with family and friends. Workshops in visual arts, dance and theatre are led by artists and practitioners assisted by education staff and youth workers.
This ACCA led program is supported by the Scanlon Foundation and presented in collaboration with the Centre for Multicultural Youth and precinct partners Chunky Move, Malthouse Theatre and St Martins Youth Arts Centre.
